Sozo Academy Rules & Policy Guide
1. No pets allowed at practices and/or games, Except Sight Assist and approved Service Dogs.
2. Uniforms – Sozo Academy Uniforms are mandatory for games.
3. The Home Team will wear the white jersey, and the Visiting Team will wear the bright color jersey.
4. Players should always bring both jerseys to every game. Shin guards are required.
5. Players may play 2 SEPERATE divisions (Playing up never down) as long as they are registered into both rosters
6. Spectators must be on the opposite side of the field, directly across from their team.
(This will help identify the players in case of an emergency)
7. Both teams should be separated by the midfield.
8. No coaching from the spectator side; this includes parents, family, friends, etc. / or behind the goaline, Talk from the flag line.
9. During a game, the coaching technical area is from the top of the goal box to midfield
10. Three coaches per team maximum on the team sideline during games. If you're not on the roster you should NOT be on the sideline with the team.
11. No parent/guardian, family, or friends on the team side.
12. Spectators must stay at least 5 feet off the touchline. Coaches must stay at least 3 feet from the touchline.
13. Coaches and/or spectators are not allowed on the field.
14. Referees will not restart a game until the coach has addressed Issues. Relating spectator behavior
15. The referee controls the game. The referee has the final say.
16. Substitutions are allowed on any stoppage with the referee's permission.
17. MICRO- Do not play with a goalkeeper. No players are allowed in Goal Arc or "Camping Out" near Goal Arc.
18. All players on the field must be actively participating in ball play.
19. Kinder-2nd Grade will receive a second chance to throw in if the Referee allows.
20.Pre K – 4th Grade does not have "Offsides".
21. No heading in 5th Grade and below.
22. No slide tackling in any age group (Slide tackling & Sliding are 2 different things)
23. Per WSYS recommends 3-4 players on their roster above the number of players on the field.
24. Winning coach keeps pink game score cards for record.
25. There will be no CLUB PLAYERS allowed to play rec academy this year. NO EXCEPTIONS! (3RD GRADE AND UP)
26. Each player must submit a picture & birth certificate at registration, or they won't be allowed to register.
27. Schedules will NOT be rescheduled this season (so plan ahead to be here on Saturdays) unless weather change & or is out of our control.
28. No direct contact towards the referee from a parent!!!
